AgustaWestland Signs New Training Services Contracts

Bel Air Of Norway, Lufttransport AS Of Norway Will Provide Simulator Training

Two training services contracts have been signed between AgustaWestland and BelAir of Denmark and Lufttransport AS of Norway to support AWs new generation helicopters.

Through these latest contracts, which further expand the level of service provided by AgustaWestland in Northern Europe, the company will deliver more than 500 simulator flight hours across the Family, providing the customers with unprecedented fleet and crew management capabilities, enhancing flexibility and safety while also reducing costs.

The helicopter models from the Family all possess the same high-performance flight characteristics and safety features whilst sharing the same common cockpit concept and design philosophy. This approach facilitates synergies for operators of these models in areas such as training, maintenance and support offering outstanding benefits for mixed fleets used in a range of roles such as offshore transport and EMS/SAR.

Following the launch of the AW189 and AW169 which add to the highly successful AW139, a comprehensive range of support and training services for the Family types has been developed including  distance learning solutions, virtual and ground maintenance trainers, Flight Training Device (FTD) and Full Flight Simulators (FFS) available with the first aircraft delivery. Courses are designed to maximize the benefits of the Family to enable rapid type transition lowering training costs and simplifying type introduction while meeting specific customer needs.
