Increased 40% Company-Wide From 2023

São Paulo, Brazil-based Embraer reported an organization-wide backlog of $26.3 billion in Q4 2024, the largest ever recorded in the company’s history, and represents a year-over-year increase of 40% over 2023 and finished the year with a 2.2 book-to-bill ratio.

Embraer saw the largest increase in its Executive Jets segment with $7.4 billion, a 70% jump over $4.3 billion in 2023. That figure was closely followed by its Defense & Security orders at $4.2 billion, a 67% increase over 2023.

The backlogs in each segment were:

• Commercial Aviation: $10.2 billion vs. $8.8 billion in 2023, +15%
• Executive Jets: $7.4 billion vs. $4.3 billion, +70%
• Services & Support: $4.6 billion vs. $3.1 billion, +50%
• Defense & Security: $4.2 billion vs. $2.5 billion, +67%

Embraer delivered 75 aircraft in last quarter of the year, 27% more than in the third quarter and equal to the number in Q4 2023. Company deliveries totaled 206 aircraft for the year, a 14% increase over 181 aircraft in 2023.

Aircraft deliveries by segment were:

• Executive Aviation: 75 Light Jets (Phenom 100/300) plus 55 Medium Jets (Praetor 500/600) for a total of 130 aircraft
• Commercial Aviation: 26 E175, 8 E190-E2, and 39 E195-E2 totaling 73 aircraft
• Defense & Security: 3 C-390 Millennium aircraft

Among U.S. backlogs in the Commercial segment, American Airlines has a firm order backlog of 92, followed by Republic Airlines with 41. SkyWest and Horizon Air have backlogs of 16 and 6 aircraft, respectively.

The Defense & Security segment posted firm order backlogs of 32 C-390 Millennium and 17 A-29 Super Tucano aircraft. Embraer also stated that some orders represent customers in Czechia, Slovakia, Portugal, and an undisclosed customer, that were not included in the backlog.
