WWII Veteran -- Age 90 -- Still Skydiving

Had 'Always Wanted To Do One' While In The Service

Lt. Bill Keller had become enamoured of skydiving while in the Army Air Corps during WWII, but says he never had an opportunity to make a jump. He finally did, at the Skydive Sky Ranch in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, in 1992 to celebrate his 70th birthday.

Keller is still skydiving ... and last Saturday celebrated the completion of his 90th trip around the sun with a jump from an airplane.

Keller told television station KHBS that he had "always wanted" to jump out of an airplane after joining the Army Air Corps. Though he had to wait a while to fulfill that dream, he's been hooked on skydiving since making that first jump 20 years ago.

However, he does admit to being "afraid of roller coasters." But he says he does skydiving "instead," and says the view during freefall from 10,000 feet is spectacular. He likens the experience to "flying like a bird," and that you "can see all over the place."

We expect that, should he get the chance, he'll be skydiving for his 100th birthday as well.
