Atlantic Acquires Ferrovial Vertiports

Supporting AAM By Developing National eVTOL Infrastructure Network

Atlantic Aviation announced the acquisition of Ferrovial Vertiports from Ferrovial, a global developer of infrastructure, reinforcing Atlantic’s commitment to lead in the creation of sustainable infrastructure as it supports Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) by incorporating eVTOL infrastructure and expertise into its nationwide FBO network.

Vertiports are quickly becoming part of the aviation industry’s lexicon and are specific areas dedicated to supporting eVTOL aircraft operations such as takeoff, hover, and landing in urban, suburban, and rural environments. They will also provide passenger and baggage handling as well as aircraft recharging and other ground support services, making it a natural extension of FBO operations and services.

The acquisition will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlantic Aviation and will begin to operate immediately under the name VertiPorts by Atlantic. The leadership will continue its industry leading role in developing additional locations for eVTOL operations to connect communities in multiple regions across the U.S.

Atlantic Aviation has a solid track record of advancing AAM and eVTOL infrastructure by installing charging stations at a growing number of its FBO locations as well as upgrading utilities at New York’s 34th Street Heliport to support eVTOL operations.

Jeff Foland, CEO of Atlantic Aviation said, “We see tremendous long-term benefits and growth in building out infrastructure to support the advanced air mobility space. The combination of our operational expertise with the outstanding work the Ferrovial Vertiports team has done so far will serve as a tremendous boost to safe and efficient eVTOL operations as the network develops.”

Kevin Cox, former CEO of Ferrovial Vertiports and is now CEO of VertiPorts by Atlantic commented, “The Ferrovial Vertiports team is pleased to join Atlantic Aviation to forge a transformative and visionary presence in the AAM infrastructure space. We’re setting a new standard for innovation and leadership in the industry which will transform how people move seamlessly to, thru, and between cities.”
