NBAA Continues To Respond To DOT's BARR Program Concerns

Bolen: DOT Will Allow Comments Before Imposing Limitations

NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen issued a statement Tuesday to update Association Members on the status of NBAA's work to address concerns from Department of Transportation (DOT) officials regarding the Block Aircraft Registration Request (BARR) program.

"As NBAA has previously reported, the DOT is conducting a review of the BARR program, and as part of that review, the Association has been given an opportunity to gather and provide information to the department by February 15. That effort was completed earlier today, and the DOT has informed NBAA that, prior to making any decision to limit eligibility for the BARR program, it will issue a notice inviting interested persons to submit comments on such limitations. NBAA has no further information at this time, but will immediately forward that notice to its members as soon as it becomes available."
