Upgraded! Rudinger Named VP And Assistant To AOPA President

Has Worked For Pilot Group Over 18 Years

Melissa K. Rudinger has been named Vice President and Assistant to Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association President Craig Fuller. As such, she will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the Office of the President.

Rudinger has worked for AOPA for more than 18 years, spending most of that time in the Association's Government Affairs Division. She was most recently the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, overseeing a staff that dealt with issues covering everything from aircraft certification to airspace issues to pilot certification.

"Melissa's experience at AOPA and relationships throughout the organization will facilitate regular interaction with each department," said Fuller, "while her relationships with industry and government will be helpful to the President's Office as we go out to discuss the issues critical to general aviation." Rudinger will have specific responsibility for scheduling and project coordination.

Rudinger holds a commercial pilot certificate with a lighter-than-air rating, and has experience running a local airport business. She has FAA Academy training in Airspace Design and Management, Environmental Analysis, has served as an FAA Accident Prevention Counselor, and is a graduate of Millersville University.
