UA Unveils New InSight Display System, Heli-ClearVision EFVS Flight Deck

New Systems Introduced At Heli-Expo In Atlanta

Universal Avionics is unveiling a new, complete flight deck specifically designed to support helicopter mission execution at night and during challenging weather conditions at Heli-Expo in Atlanta.

"By combining the latest, state-of-the-art InSight Display System solution and revolutionary Heli-ClearVision SkyVis Helmet-Mounted Display or SkyLens Head-Wearable Display, all supported by high-quality Enhanced Vision System Sensors, pilots can overcome harsh conditions while safely completing the mission," said UA CEO Dror Yahav." The overall solution offers emergency medical services operation, law enforcement, and search and rescue operators a new level of operability while enhancing the safety of the crew and passengers," he added.

A fully-interactive InSight Display System + Heli-ClearVision EFVS demonstration rig will be available in UA Booth throughout Heli-Expo. Dual Heli-ClearVision EFVS with SkyLens HWD and SkyVis HMD will also be interfaced to the InSight Display System, demonstrating all functionality.

The demonstration will feature unique scenarios such as creation of a "Mark on Target" waypoint using Heli-ClearVision's Line of Sight cursor function supporting life-saving missions.
