Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide To Offer A & P Prep Course

Embry-Riddle Offers Preparation For The A & P Test Through Online Training Starting In July

Students looking for some additional instruction before sitting for the airframe and powerplant (A & P) written exam can now take a prep course in the comfort of their own home through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide.

Using a live, virtual classroom, students can communicate in real-time with professors and ask questions, share ideas and interact and collaborate with other students around the globe. The 40-hour course meets six times and begins Friday, July 10. Class meeting times are on Fridays or Saturdays through Aug. 1. The cost is $960 (excluding textbooks). To be eligible, students must have authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration Flight Standards District Offices to take the FAA A & P tests.

Key topics covered during the course include: aircraft structural components, powerplant training theory, physical mathematics, weight and balance, FAA regulations, common and special tools and measuring devices, fluid lines, hardware, aircraft servicing and documentation.
