Flight Sim Gets an Upgrade at Sun 'n Fun '25

SUN 'n FUN Flight Simulation Pilot Proficiency Center Gives Rare Chance to Test Drive it All

All the latest and greatest is on hand to sample in person, giving attendees a taste of virtual reality, full feedback controls, motion platforms, and professional level cockpit displays.

More than 20 stations are available to give pilots a taste, whether they're interested in trying out immersive VR goggles, motion sims, or a more affordable multi-monitor setup for home use. The pavilion's focus is on the overlap between proficient, safe pilots and simulation enthusiasts, with all their equipment set up to prove just how effective the industry has gotten at replicating true time in the air. The Flight Simulation Association has been hitting Sun ‘n Fun hard in recent years to show some of the naysayers that simulation can be a lotmore than a hobby. When used with the right equipment, the right software, and the right attitude, simulation . This year brought out their best display yet,

Experts on flight simulation, setup, and maintenance will be joined by CFI's to help walk newbies through the process, and a 'flight' of their own. FlyInside Simulation is joined by Microsoft, MSI, Pimax, Virpil, Turtle Beach, Realsimgear, DOF Reality, Moza Racing, Thrustmaster, and Next Level Racing in their mission to advertise the best the industry has to offer. It seems to be pretty effective, too, judging from the crowds.

Those interested in getting some seat time of their own can make an appointment. This is a rare opportunity for pilots and aeronautical enthusiasts alike: A chance to try out all the cool widgets, gadgets, and treats the industry has to offer without spending a cent. And in the hobby of flight sim, being able to check out all the options before buying is probably the largest money saver of all.
