The EAA's Canadian Council Seeking Candidates

Volunteers Needed to Enact EAA Programs and Promote Aviation Throughout Canada

The Experimental Aviation Association has a need for Canadian Council Members, and is now beginning the search for suitable personnel.

Volunteers are those who support the mission off the EAA with a variety of duties to bring aviation to the forefront. They " regularly work with EAA headquarters, EAA chapters, and Canadian members to promote aviation throughout Canada. Members hold quarterly telephone conference calls, as well as gather annually at AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to meet with EAA staff and others. Members are encouraged to help with the EAA Canadian Tent and associated activities prior to and during AirVenture."

Candidates should be located in Canada, and have a solid knowledge of the landscape of Canadian recreational aviation, as well as willing to donate their time and talents to advance it for fellow citizens.

In exchange, the EAA offers the satisfaction of a job well done... in so many words. As they put it, "candidates will make "new friends, grow as an aviator, and help develop general aviation in Canada, all while enjoying the fulfillment that comes with promoting aviation to all ages." Council members are a "vital" part of supporting the EAA, an essential intermediary to ensure programs come to fruition on the ground. Those interested may submit applications online through the EAA website, and any questions may be directed to the EAA Canadian Council Chairman Jeff Seaborn.
