Airborne 10.01.14: Sierra Nevada v NASA, A-29 Goes To Work, Be-200 Rebirth?

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) has filed a legal challenge to the award of contracts to Boeing and SpaceX under the Commercial Crew Transportation Capability, referred to as the CCtCap program.

The CCtCap program will restore U.S. transportation capability to the International Space Station. The first of twenty A-29 Super Tucano aircraft to be produced in Jacksonville, Florida arrived at Georgia's Moody Air Force Base on September 26th, in preparation for the Afghanistan pilot and maintenance training mission. USA Firefighting Air Corps (USAFAC) has announced that Russia has signed a collaboration agreement with an American company to develop a US-built Beriev Be-200 multipurpose amphibious aerial firefighting jet, and that the collaboration would be headquartered in Colorado.
