Aircraft Will Be Deployed In Warsaw And Fly Domestic And International Routes

Avion Express, the largest narrow-body ACMI operator in the world, has reached an agreement to wet-lease four Airbus A320 aircraft to the Polish National Airline LOT.

Under the ACMI agreement, signed until 31st of May 2020, two Airbus A320 aircraft will start flying for LOT Polish Airlines from January 14, and the other two entering service on February 1.

All of the aircraft will be deployed in Warsaw and fly domestic and international routes.

“We were discussing potential business opportunities with LOT for past several months and it is great that these talks came to fruition. LOT is one of the most experienced and rapidly growing carriers in the current market. It will be our pleasure to provide ACMI services to this carrier," said Darius Kajokas, Avion Express CEO.

Established in 1930 by the Polish government, LOT is currently the third longest-operating European airline. In recent years, LOT has become one of the leaders in Central and Eastern Europe airspace with regard to passenger services – during 2018 more than 8.9 million passengers travelled with LOT. Over the past four years, the Polish company has launched more than 70 new destinations and acquired 40 aircraft. Current LOT fleet consists of more than 90 aircraft.
