WSI Intro's FAA Flight Plan Submission Service

Free Service Now Available To Pilots Using WSI Weather Briefing Systems

WSI has released an integrated FAA Flight Plan Submission capability from within the WSI Pilotbrief Pro product line. Using a WSI system, pilots will now be able to plot a flight route, evaluate the impact of weather on their flight and, with one click, file their flight plan for approval with the FAA. All current WSI Pilotbrief Pro and Pro Online customers have access to this functionality today through the WSI seamless upgrade system as a no- cost upgrade.

"With the addition of flight plan submission, pilots can quickly turn a route briefing into a filed flight plan -- a great convenience and time saver," stated Arlo Gambell, WSI Director of Aviation Services. Pilots using the My Briefing(TM) interactive route-briefing map on WSI Pilotbrief Pro and WSI Pilotbrief Online can turn their standard pre-flight weather briefings into a pre-populated FAA Flight Plan form.

Route information from the briefing is combined with pilots' stored WSI ProLink profile information in order to minimize time and effort needed. After completing the form, pilots review and submit each flight plan directly from a special form within the system.

The introduction of the flight plan submission service is the latest step in WSI's vision for aviation briefing services known as WSI ProLink.

"WSI is building a seamless weather briefing experience across all platforms," explains Lynne Wilson, Executive Vice President of WSI's Aviation Business Group. "In doing so we remain responsive to our customers as they assist us in creating tools that simplify and enhance operational procedures." With an active WSI ProLink account, pilots can quickly access route specific briefings throughout their day -- whether at home, the hotel or airport to airport. "WSI is committed to increasing the value it delivers to the Aviation Industry through our enhanced products and services," Wilson summarized.
