Kelluu Airships Opt for AgEagle's RedEdge-P Sensor Suite

New Equipment Takes "Inspection and Monitoring to Entirely New Level in Finland"

Kelluu Ltd, a Finnish company, has opted to install AgEagle's RedEdge-P Multispectral Sensors into their Kelluu Unmanned airships, improving their performance in their primary survey, inspection, and patrol roles.

The Kelluu airships offer a high-endurance, sustainable, and reliable aircraft for use in the usual survey mission, boasting more than 12 hours of hydrogen-powered uptime while they putter around their patrol area. Kelluu's aircraft have been pressed into service as stewards of Finlands forests and lands, protecting a 15B euro market from illicit logging and parasitic infestations. The RedEdge sensor's capabilities will prove useful in fighting against an incipient spruce bark beetle infestation, offering high resolution panchromatic imagery that reveals affected trees before their condition is apparent to the human eye.

“Equipped with RedEdge-P, our unmanned airships can fly for hours and surveil thousands of hectares of forest land in a single mission, pinpointing precise locations of early bark beetle infestation for immediate remediation by forestry management companies," said Jiri Jormakka, Chief Operating Officer of Kelluu. In addition to protecting surrounding forest lands from large scale disturbances, Kelluu is now empowered to help save our customers potentially millions of euros due to mitigation of catastrophic tree losses. The RedEdge-P is a superb sensor and does its job well."

“We created the RedEdge-P to provide professionals with a reliable and efficient way to capture radiometrically calibrated RGB and multispectral data using leading UAS," said Barrett Mooney, AgEagle Chairman. "We are very proud that innovative companies, such as Kelluu, are recognizing the value that AgEagle’s technological advancements were designed to deliver.”
