Army Veteran And Double Amputee Skydives Into PGA Tour Champions Event

U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Dana Bowman Kicked Off Event With A Delivery From 4,000 Feet

Functional Remedies, the only vertically-integrated hemp oil company, was honored to sponsor Dana Bowman’s jump at the Rapiscan Systems Classic, the first PGA TOUR Champions event to partner with a hemp oil company. Bowman parachuted from 4,000 feet to deliver the ball for the first tee.

Dana Bowman is a retired sergeant first class with the U.S. Army, where he was a Special Forces soldier and a member of the U.S. Army’s elite parachute team, the Golden Knights. During the annual Golden Knights training in 1994, he lost the use of both his legs in a tragic accident. Only nine months later, he became the first double-amputee to re-enlist in the U.S. Army. Today, Bowman is a critically-acclaimed motivational speaker devoted to demonstrating that physically challenged people can still work and excel in today’s society and military. Dana lives by the mantra: ‘amputee and uselessness are not synonymous.’

“Dana Bowman is an incredible individual who has overcome unthinkable adversity to become a world-renowned motivational speaker,” said Functional Remedies CEO, Anthony Mazzotti. “We are honored to play a part in Dana’s parachute jump at the Rapiscan Systems Classic. Functional Remedies is a proud supporter of the veteran community who has a proven, active and powerful voice in helping change America’s outdated cannabis prohibition.”
