NBAA Mourns Loss Of One Of Their Own

Extends Condolences To Friends, Family of Connie Penne

On behalf of the National Business Aviation Association, NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen extended his sympathies Wednesday to those affected by the sudden loss of Connie Penne, NBAA's Vice President of Membership Marketing, who passed away earlier this week.

"We at NBAA are shocked and saddened over the news of Connie's passing, and our prayers are with her family at this difficult time," Bolen said. "Connie's co-workers will remember her for her tremendous commitment to NBAA and her professionalism in everything she did. Guided by Connie's dedication and hard work, NBAA has grown its Membership and strengthened the services the Association provides to Members. Connie made NBAA a better association, and she made us better people. We will miss her terribly."

Ms. Penne joined the NBAA staff on November 28, 2005, as Vice President, Membership Marketing. She came to NBAA with more than two decades of extensive experience in direct-response marketing, strategic planning, database marketing and member relationship management.

Before coming to NBAA, Ms. Penne served as director of member data and strategic services with AARP. Prior to her service at AARP, she served in various leadership roles as director of database marketing, responsible for managing database and e-marketing programs for large national and international clients.

Ms. Penne is survived by her husband and three children. A funeral is planned in Ms. Penne's home town of Punxsutawney, PA, for Thursday, August 21. Bolen will represent NBAA at the funeral.

A separate memorial service will take place in Annapolis, MD; the date for that event has yet to be determined, but NBAA will provide that information as it becomes available.

NBAA is in the process of establishing a memorial fund for Ms. Penne, and the Association will provide notice when the fund has been established.
