CAE Reaches Validation Phase Of Its Next Generation Training System

AirAsia Is Launch Customer For The Program

CAE has announced the launch of the validation phase of its Next Generation Training System with its longstanding partner AirAsia. Leveraging years of training innovation advances, CAE launched earlier this year the development of its next breakthrough in pilot training referred to as Next Generation Training System.

Supported by innovative data collection and analysis techniques, this system promises to improve training quality and efficiency through the integration of untapped data-driven insights into training. CAE has announced the second phase its ground-breaking development in collaboration with AirAsia, focusing on the validation and refinement of the system's new training capabilities for pilot critical skill performance.

"We are very excited to collaborate with CAE on this innovative program", said Tony Fernandes, AirAsia's Group Chief Executive Officer. "This Next Generation Training System is the stepping-stone to reaching a new level in pilot training efficiency. With CAE being the worldwide training leader, we cannot find a better partner to support us with our training needs and provide us with next-level training solutions."

"We are very proud to launch the validation phase of our Next Generation Training System in partnership with AirAsia", said Nick Leontidis, CAE's Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions. "The training needs of our airline partners are driving our training philosophy and as such, we are building the Next Generation Training System to allow them to address the growing demand of professional pilots globally. At CAE, we constantly look for forward-looking solutions and we strongly believe this program is shaping the future of training."

The validation phase of the Next Generation Training System will begin in the Fall 2016. CAE and AirAsia share a relationship that spans over 10 years. Together, they have formed the Asian Aviation Center of Excellence, a joint venture based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
