Classic Aero-TV: The DroneVolt Ag Program - Honest Work For Tomorrow's UAVs

From 2017 (YouTube Version): Heavy-Duty Industrial Drones Do More Than Provide Images…

Sometimes it seems like the popularity of small drones circles around the drone’s capability of providing photographic imagery but that’s not all they are used for. While at the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas in January 2017, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, talked with a company by the name of Drone Volt that shows us the incredible capabilities that drones provide in other industrial applications.

Jim talked with Dan Roe, who is the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Drone Volt USA. Roe says that Drone Volt is a company that is based in France and is moving into the U.S. market. He makes the point that this company is a robotics company, and drones are a part of their robotics business.

In this video, we get a look at a rather large drone that is used for agricultural purposes in Europe. Roe refers to their products as ‘service drones’ that are designed to add services or value to their customer’s products. They are designed to help the company become more cost-effective and more efficient

As the video progresses, you’ll find out more about their Hercules series of drones and the unique industrial capabilities that they provide, particularly in the area of agriculture. This video provides interesting insight to the versatility of small drone technology.
