Two Lost In AirVenture Landing Accident

Lancair Legacy Stalled On Short Final

ANN REALTIME REPORTING 07.31.08 1915 EDT UPDATE: ANN has learned that the two persons who perished on board the Lancair Legacy at the time of the accident have been officially identified as Roger Bock, 62 of Carnegie, PA, and John F. Linden, 56, of Washington, PA. ANN sends our prayers  and sympathies to the family and friends of these lost aviators.

ANN REALTIME REPORTING 07.31.08 1230 EDT: Two people were lost in a fatal accident involving a Lancair Legacy near Wittman Field in Oshkosh, WI Thursday morning.

EAA spokesman Dick Knapinski tells ANN the homebuilt high-performance aircraft stalled while on final approach to land on runway 27 at OSH. The plane impacted just short of the runway, and came to rest inverted.

FAA records indicate the accident aircraft was assembled in 2005, and is registered to a New York address.

Identities of the victims have not been released. ANN will have more details as they become available.
