Avidyne EX600 MFD Receives EASA Approved Model List Certification

Approved For Cessna 200/300/400 Series Aircraft

An Approved Model List (AML) Minor Change Approval from EASA has been granted to IAE Ltd., of Bedfordshire, England, for the installation of the Avidyne EX600 Multi-Function Display (MFD) in Cessna 200, 300, and 400 series aircraft.

“This AML authorization dramatically streamlines the installation approval process in Europe for future installations of our EX600 MFD in more than 80 different Cessna models from the C210 up through the C441,” said Bill Schillhammer, Avidyne’s Director of International Sales. “We are very thankful to the very capable folks at IAE Ltd for pursuing this AML approval and for making it available as a reference document for others installing the EX600 as well.”

"The EX600 display provides terrific situational awareness and safety benefits for our customers, with such features as European-specific datalink graphical weather, CMax Electronic Approach Charts, European VFR charts, and a large number of radar interfaces," said Garry Joyce, Avionics Director and Co-owner of IAE, Ltd. "This is the first in a series of AML approvals we are seeking, which will ease the installation approval process, saving both time and money for our European customers who upgrade to the EX600.”

Avidyne says its EX600 is a highly-capable Multi-function Display (MFD) that is designed to enhance situational awareness and safety for pilots of general aviation airplanes and helicopters.
