FAA Grants STC For MT-Propeller Installation On Piper Malibu

Approves Use Of 4-blade MTV-14-D/195-30b Prop

The FAA has granted an STC to MT-Propeller for the installation of its next generation 4-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-14-D/195-30b on the Piper PA-46-310P Malibu. This installation was previously approved by EASA.

The installation shortens takeoff distance and improves cruise speed, according to the company. It complies with strict German noise standards at maximum engine speed of 2500 RPM.

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction, according to the company. They have no life limitation, and are repairable in case of damage by foreign objects.

They also provide vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.

MT-Propeller holds over 200 STCs worldwide and is an OEM supplier for more than 90% of the European Aircraft Industry as well as 30% of the US Aircraft Industry. Over 18,000 propeller systems with more than 60,000 blades are in service.

A factory certified network of 60 service centers, provides best service and maintenance all over the world.
