NBAA Announces Recipients Of 2017 Leadership Conference Scholarships

Two Selected For $2,000 Awards

The NBAA has announced that the association’s Business Aviation Management Committee (BAMC) has selected two individuals as recipients of 2017 Leadership Conference Scholarships.

Each scholarship includes a value equivalent to $2,000 to cover expenses associated with attendance at NBAA’s 2017 Leadership Conference, taking place Feb. 14-16 in Miami, FL. The Leadership Conference is designed for current and future leaders in all facets of the business aviation industry, from aircraft operators to vendors who provide products and services within the industry.

The Leadership Conference Scholarship, now in its 13th year, is sponsored in 2017 by donations from BAMC members. Representatives from each of these companies will be on hand at the Leadership Conference to recognize this year’s recipients.

The 2017 recipients are:

  • Kindra Mahler: Mahler, marketing and charter coordinator for Fargo Jet Center, is currently the chairwoman of the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Committee’s Publicity, Communications & Marketing Subcommittee. In her role with Fargo Jet Center, Mahler is in charge of scheduling seven aircraft and 14 pilots.
  • Kenny Mazingo: A senior at the University of Central Florida majoring in business administration, Mazingo had to seek out the business aviation community, as his university does not have an aviation-focused curriculum. Mazingo has attended the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) the past three years, and has participated in events the Florida Aviation Business Association.
