AeroCare Opens New Base In Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Medically-Configured Learjet 35 To Be Based At KFXE

AeroCare Medical Transport System, Inc. has opened a new base of operations in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The base opened in December 2015 and is located at the Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE). This location will be AeroCare's third base of operations in the U.S. The main base of operations is headquartered in Sugar Grove, IL. AeroCare also operates a base in Scottsdale, AZ.

A medically-configured Learjet 35 has been permanently assigned to the new Ft. Lauderdale location. The Lear 35 is part of AeroCare's fleet of medically-configured Learjets. It has a maximum speed of 542 mph and a service ceiling of 45,000 feet. The AeroCare Learjet 35 is configured like a "flying ICU" and will be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year to transport ill and injured patients.

In addition, AeroCare will serve the organ transplant community, by providing organ transplant air transports. The Ft. Lauderdale base is an ideal location to better serve the Caribbean Islands, Mexico, Central, and South America, as well as Canada. With the close proximity to these locations and the speed and range of the Learjet 35, AeroCare is poised to service patients fast, safely and efficiently.

AeroCare is one of only three air ambulance service providers in Florida to be a CAMTS (Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems) accredited fixed-wing air ambulance provider. The CAMTS accreditation is one of the most distinguished accreditations an air ambulance provider can attain. A critical care nurse and flight medic, as well as a two pilot team, will staff all AeroCare's flights.
