Jazz Aviation, ALPA Reach 11-Year Collective Agreement

Minister Leitch Congratulates Both Parties

Canada's Jazz Aviation and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) have reached agreement renewing their collective bargaining agreement for a period of 11 years. The two parties reached agreement through direct negotiations.

The current collective agreement covers approximately 1,500 pilots employed at Jazz Airlines. The new collective agreement will run until December 31, 2025.

"I applaud Jazz Aviation and the Air Line Pilots Association on reaching an agreement that will benefit everyone. The parties worked together to find solutions and came to an agreement that will provide them with long-term stability. This demonstrates what can be accomplished when employers and unions work cooperatively to achieve an agreement that meets their objectives," said The Honorable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labor and Minister of Status of Women

Jazz Aviation is a contract carrier for Air Canada under the Capacity Purchase Agreement. Jazz Aviation serves 73 destinations across Canada and the U.S. and operates approximately 800 daily flights.
