I Hart Flying Foundation Scholars Announced At NBAA

Phillips 66 “Helping Today’s Women Take Flight” With Hart

The lucky winners of the I Hart Flying Foundation’s (IHFF) flight training scholarship got more than the expected funds, when they were surprised with an invitation to NBAA-BACE 2021.

IHFF founder, Rachelle Spector, brought them to Las Vegas, Nevada, for a week of networking, sightseeing, and exposure to one of the biggest events of the year for business aviation enthusiasts. In addition to the trip,  they receive funding, training packages, pilot supplies, and flight equipment to further their burgeoning aviation career.

I Hart Flying is a relatively fresh addition to the industry, getting its start in 2017. A 501(c)3 public non-profit dedicated to helping women achieve their aviation ratings and take flight, the organization has been making friends throughout the industry. Travel arrangements were provided by long time partner Immaculate Flight with show passes supported by AEG Fuels. During the expo, the winners were able to participate in NBAA YoPro events, social networking, and additional scholarship applications with supporting organizations.

Each year, the IHFF selects a theme to focus on and distinguish themselves from a sea of educational assistance. At July’s AirVenture, the IHFF announced plans with ongoing partner Phillips 66 Aviation to launch their newest theme, “Fueling Flight with Harts of Might!” featuring their largest scholarship to date, bringing lifetime program funds issued over a milestone $100,000 mark.

“Each themed opportunity we look for ways to elevate the engagement, support, reach and exposure for both our scholars and our partners,” said Lyndse Costabile, corporate and donor relations for I Hart Flying Foundation. “Coming out of these unpreceded times where shows were cancelled, and face to face interaction was at times nonexistent affected many of us. Giving these scholars a chance to connect, in person, with the very companies who support us repeatedly while also taking advantage of high-level networking, is invaluable.”
