AIR, Inc. Acquires A.E.P.S. Assets

Aviation Information Resources, Inc. (AIR, Inc.) has acquired A.E.P.S. (Aviation Employee Placement Service), an on-line employment referral service based originally in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and their assets on December 31, 2003.

AIR, Inc. purchased A.E.P.S. from the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), which secured the rights to A.E.P.S. as a result of bankruptcy proceedings against the on-line referral service on early 2003. AIR, Inc. paid ALPA by bartering Airline Pilot Career Development System memberships and seminar/job fair services for the more than 9,700 furloughed ALPA pilots.

“One of the many services AIR, Inc. currently offers its members / non-members is an on-line eapplication and job referral service, AIRApps. With more than 14, 000 pilots in our our database, it will be a smooth transition for us to take over A.E.P.S.’s service and the 3,000 members in their current database.”

A.E.P.S. will continue to operate under the same name, as an independent division of AIR, Inc.

AIR, Inc. will offer A.E.P.S. members, both printed and on-line career information services. Some of these services include memberships which provide airline pilots with a valuable library of information to aid them in their job searches - 70% of the approximate 5,000 pilots hired by the airlines in 2003 were AIR, Inc. members.

AIR, Inc. also conducts nationwide airline pilot seminars, airline forums and job fairs, bringing airline pilots together with recruiting airlines. Currently 120 of 190 airlines AIR, Inc. tracks, hired 4,743 pilots in 2003.
