Winners: NBAA International Operators Scholarship

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) this week will present the 2003 International Operators Scholarship to two individuals during the 30th Annual International Operators Conference in Colorado Springs (CO). The NBAA International Operators Committee created this scholarship in conjunction with corporate sponsor ExxonMobil and the Avitats in order to promote education and training as a means for individuals to increase the safety and professionalism of their positions.

The 2003 NBAA International Operators Scholarship recipients are:
  • Michael Pape, Boise Cascade Corp., Boise, ID. Pape plans to use his scholarship award to complete the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Corporate Aviation Management Program.
  • David Ball, Allstate Insurance Co., Wheeling, IL. Ball intends to pursue leadership training through Embry-Riddle's online distance-education program.

Pape and Ball each received $2,500 and complimentary registration to the 2003 International Operators Conference, where the awards will be made.

In addition to the International Operators Scholarship, NBAA offers nine other scholarships to promote professional development and business aviation careers.
