Miracle Flights For Kids Sees Substantial Increase In Medical Flight Assistance

First Quarter Fiscal Year Shows A 10 Percent Increase Over 2014

Miracle Flights for Kids saw an over 10 percent increase in coordinated medical flights from last year's 1st quarter, jumping from 1,745 flights to 1,928. The nation's leading health and welfare flight organization enables children with rare and life-threatening medical conditions to gain access to specialized, out-of-state medical care through commercial flights.

Additionally, Miracle Flights was recently honored for 30 years of community service by the Clark County Board of Commissioners in Las Vegas, NV, who proclaimed July 2015 a "Month of Miracles."

, said "We're very grateful for the honor bestowed upon us by the Clark County Commissioners, and even more proud of the fact that we continue to help more and more sick kids every year," said Ann McGee, founder and president. She noted that Miracle Flights expects to surpass 7,000 flights during its current fiscal year.

Miracle Flights has also been selected as one of 12 finalists in the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation's Pilots Choice Awards Grant program. Aviation-related charities are chosen to compete in an online poll, with the winner receiving a $10,000 grant. To help more children get to the specialized, out-of-state medical care they need, vote for Miracle Flights' kids.
