Beech King Airs Transform Emergency Response In Peru

Purchased Second 360C Turboprop For Air Ambulance Missions

Beechcraft King Air aircraft are saving lives in Peru, with more than 145 critically ill patients transported for emergency medical care during over a hundred aeromedical flights in the past twelve months.

Peru recently expanded its emergency response capabilities with the purchase of a second Textron Beechcraft King Air 360C air ambulance equipped with vital sign monitors, incubators, stretchers, and cold chain systems for organ transport.

Bob Gibbs, Vice President of Special Mission Sales for Textron said, “Special Missions Beechcraft and Cessna aircraft continue to prove their value in some of the world’s most demanding environments. It’s an honor to support these life-saving efforts through the Peruvian Air Force’s emergency response missions.”

Textron Aviation is also investing in strategic collaborations to stimulate long-term aviation growth. With every King Air 360C sale, the company signed two offset agreements with the Peruvian Ministry of Defense that include support for a new Virtual Reality Center of Excellence in Peru. The Center features simulators for the Cessna 172 and Beechcraft King Air intended to train pilots for both normal and emergency scenarios.

The King Air 360C has a range of 2,690 nm. It has  a max cruise speed of 303 ktas, and its max operating altitude is 35,000 ft MSL. The aircraft will take off in 4,057 ft,  land in 2,981 ft, and has a max climb rate of 2,400 fpm.

In the air ambulance configuration, the aircraft has custom medical cabinets, multiple crew seating options, optional power loader for patient boarding, and the interior can be custom configured for the customer’s ambulatory needs.
