Group Looks to Empower Next Generation of Aviators
Women in Corporate Aviation is opening up its 2024 Spring Scholarship Program, citing a "record number of applications" for its Fall offerings.

As such, WCA has continued to lean on a lengthening roster of members, sponsors, and volunteers to improve opportunities for young women in aviation.
"One of our goals is to help provide scholarships to as many people as we can. We have made several significant changes for the spring scholarship program to help us reach out to even more deserving people," said the Spring Scholarship announcement. "To provide the maximum benefit of the network of WCA when applying for our scholarships, membership is required."
Women in Corporate Aviation backs its mission statement with active scholarship programs, outreach, and mentorship, building a grassroots network of "engaged, highly invested and enthusiastic people" to help their own up the career ladder. The group seems to be aware that scholarship demand will handily outstrip supply this year too, and emphasizing the strength of its informal network helps remind members that even if they miss out on direct disbursements, they can still come out ahead by joining the group. deciding on to support you or that you support cannot be understated. Our organization is honored to support all who seek career advancement and professional development in corporate/business aviation careers.
"For over 30 years WCA has promoted business aviation beginning with the Women in Aviation Conference where we connected as members within the business aviation industry," the group said in its scholarship announcement. "As we grew, all who joined us found support and in turn we were supported by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and member companies with opportunities to exhibit, offer career panels or host events to bring our professionals together. Many job connections were made at these events, successes shared, and careers inspired. For over 12 years, we have also been able to expand to Europe and EBACE giving members access to a network beyond borders. For many members through the years who were the first women to be hired, the community became a lifeline and kept them in our industry."
Since its inception 18 years ago, the group has awarded 270 scholarships valued at more than $1 million in all.
