Handheld Device Extracts Data From Flight Data And Voice Recorders

Flight Data Systems (FDS) entered into a licensing agreement with L3Harris Commercial Aviation that enables the FDS Handheld Multipurpose Tool (HHMPI) extract data from the L3Harris SRVIVR25 Flight Data and Cockpit Voice Recorders.

The agreement is notable in that FDS is the first third-party entity to be granted a license to download data from the SRVIVR25 cockpit voice recorder (CVR), flight data recorder (FDR), and the combination cockpit voice flight data recorder (CVFDR).

The agreement also reinforces FDS’ commitment to continual innovation as the HHMPI is subject to frequent functionality upgrades to meet the evolving demands of the aviation industry. The upgrades enable maintenance technicians to save time and reduce costs.
