Ampaire Opens New HQ In Long Beach

Company Committed To Local Economy And Sustainable Aviation

Ampaire, a global producer of hybrid electric aircraft systems, announced the grand opening of its new headquarters at Long Beach Airport (KLGB).

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on August 27 at the state-of-the-art building and marks a significant milestone in Ampaire’s mission of bringing sustainable and innovative solutions to the air travel industry. The headquarters will provide space and support for Ampaire’s growing team and expanding R&D program.

Kevin Noertker, CEO of Ampaire said, “We are thrilled to have opened our new headquarters at Long Beach Airport. This facility will not only be the heart of our operations but also a hub for innovation, where we will continue to develop and deploy cutting-edge electric aircraft technologies. Our new location strengthens our commitment to sustainability and our mission to lead the aviation industry into a new era of eco-friendly flight.”

Ampaire recently completed a successful Critical Design Review for its electrified King Air aircraft under the AFWERX Agility Prime program. This indicates that the company is now ready to proceed from design to production, prototype testing, and further development of scaled-up aircraft. The company has also been testing its Gen 2 AMP-H570 powertrain for the Eco Caravan.

Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson commented, “We are excited to welcome Ampaire to Long Beach. Their presence at our airport is a testament to Long Beach’s status as a leading center for aviation innovation and clean technology. Ampaire’s pioneering work in electric aviation aligns perfectly with our city’s commitment to sustainability and economic development.”
