NAA Seeks Nominations For Wright Memorial Trophy

New Timing Announced For America's 'Most Prestigious' Individual Award

NAA has disclosed that it is NOW seeking nominations for its Wright Brothers Memorial Trophy.

Established by NAA in 1948 to honor the memory of Orville and Wilbur Wright, the Wright Brothers Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to a living American for significant public service of enduring value to aviation in the United States. The Wright Trophy reflects a timeline of the most innovative inventors, explorers, industrialists, and public servants in aeronautics and astronautics.

"From elected officials to people who have walked on the moon, no recognition of individuals in the field of aeronautics and astronautics is more celebrated than the Wright Trophy," said Amy Spowart, NAA President and CEO. "The nominations alone represent the best of the best, and the setting of the presentation, the Wright Memorial Dinner, surrounded by the most impactful people and entities in the industry, indicates the weight of this historic recognition."

The 2024 recipient will be presented with the Wright Trophy at the Aero Club of Washington’s 76th Annual Wright Memorial Dinner on December 13, 2024, in Washington, DC. Please visit this page for more information about the award or to view a list of past recipients. For information regarding the presentation of the Wright Trophy, please visit this page.

Nominations for the Wright Brothers Memorial Trophy must be received by NAA no later than June 3, 2024.
