 "...from the Company that 2,850 pilots will receive official furlough notices is devastating news for these pilots and their families. Due to the expiration of the CARES Act payroll protections, the first 1,747 pilot furloughs will occur on October 1, with an additional 572 furloughs slated for October 30, and 531 on November 30. While other airlines have chosen to reduce manpower through voluntary means, it is tragic that United has limited those options for our pilots and instead has chosen to furlough more pilots than ever before in our history."
