Truly, One Of The Most Extraordinary Women In The Aero-Verse Has Left Us

Reposted From 03.12.16: Mutual friends have let me know that the 'perfect/better half' of the Bob/Colleen Hoover marriage has left this world. Colleen Hoover (Shown in the attached photo with Bob, Charles Lindbergh and Neil Armstrong!) is one of those women whom history should record as a perfect partner to an effort that changed aviation history.

But for me... I remember her as this warm wonderful lady who made sure I had a proper breakfast when I stayed over at the Hoover home... gave me some very wise counsel when I was having girl troubles, and caused one of my best friends in all the world, Bob Hoover himself, to smile pretty much every time he talked about her -- and that was a LOT.

Folks... this was a lovely, talented, SMART, determined woman... of a type we rarely see anymore... and ALL the world is poorer for her passing. My wife Masako, and I, send our prayers, our love and all the positive thoughts we can muster to Bob and his family.

We'll follow up shortly with a little more background and info, but for now, we're alone with our thoughts and memories of a truly amazing lady.
