Only Authorized Provider For Starter Product Line Repairs

Hartzell Engine Tech announced the naming of Quality Aircraft Accessories as its Recommended Service Facility for the Sky-Tec starter product line. This designation enables Quality Aircraft Accessories to be the only facility authorized by Hartzell Engine Tech to perform repairs on genuine Sky-Tec PM and LS series starters whether they are installed on certified or non-certified engines.

Its initial service offering is a $400 flat-rate repair for Sky-Tec solenoids. The repairs will be performed under a newly developed Hartzell Repair Process established exclusively for QAA, and includes an FAA Airworthiness Approval 8130 tag.

Operators have been seeking a more economical approach to customer requests for a lower-cost repair option for a component that has historically been considered disposable. This solenoid repair maintains OEM integrity and FAA compliance.

QAA currently supports Hartzell Engine Technologies products such as starters, alternators, fuel pumps, and starter adapters. Additionally, QAA is one of Hartzell Engine Tech’s  authorized service providers for Turbo Systems components.
