Textron Adds Starlink Availability For Citation Sovereign, Sovereign+

Customer Demand Drives Decision To Provide Connectivity Upgrade Option

Textron Aviation announced it has made Starlink available as an upgrade option for the Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+ models, offering the additional high-speed internet connectivity solution based on customer demand and AeroMech’s STC that was recently approved by the FAA.

AeroMech’s STC uses the Starlink Low Earth Orbit constellation of satellites to connect to the internet over land, sea, and remote areas where typical Wi-Fi may not be available.

Brian Rohloff, Senior Vice President of Customer Support for Textron Aviation said, “We invest in product upgrades based on customer feedback, and they have been asking for the best in-flight connectivity options available in aviation today.

“We continue to expand our list of connectivity upgrades available for our customers. Offering Starlink for the Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+ adds another product to the list of what’s possible when you upgrade your aircraft with Textron Aviation.”

Customers can schedule the upgrade to be installed at North American Textron Aviation Service Centers and at selected International Service Centers. The STC utilizes the Starlink Aviation installation kit consisting of an aero terminal or antenna, power supply unit, two wireless access points, harnessing, and requires just a power input from the aircraft.

In addition to the new option for the Sovereign and Svoereign+, Starlink is also available for the following models: Citation X and X+, 560 Excel, XLS, XLS+, XLS Gen 2 models, as well as the Beechcraft King Air 200 and 300 Series aircraft and the Cessna Caravan.
