Source: This week, at least three separate news agencies -- the New York Times, the Associated Press, and the Wall Street Journal -- each cited "unnamed sources close to the talks" in their respective stories on the oft-rumored merger between US Airways and United Airlines. All three stories reported distinctly different things -- one said the merger was off, another said teams continued to meet on the deal, and the third said CEOs at each carrier planned to meet Thursday to come to terms. Your guess is as good as ours which story is most accurate.
