FAA Grants STC For PA-46-500TP With 5 Blade MT-Prop

Installation Also Certified By EASA

MT-Propeller Entwicklung has received an FAA STC for the next generation Quiet Fan Jet 5-blade scimitar composite propeller on the PA-46-500TP. This installation is also EASA certified by STC.

The company says the propeller installation provides vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operations; bonded on nickel alloy leading edge for best erosion protection of the blades; and general performance improvement (10% shorter take-off distance, 4% better climb Performance, 3 kts faster in cruise).

The prop weighs about 3 pounds less than the original metal propeller, the company says.

All models comply with the strict German noise regulations 2010–"Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung" for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European Countries.
 
The high technology natural composite blades have no life limitation and can be repaired in case of Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
