South Shore Air Show Pulls Harrier From Its Lineup

Cites Unrelated Accidents Involving Marine Corps Aircraft

Organizers of the South Shore Air Show have quietly removed Art Nall's Sea Harrier from its lineup following recent accidents involving similar aircraft belonging to the U.S. Marine Corps in recent months.

The AirShowStuff blog reports that the show's organizers requested that Nall "not attend as a performer" at the northern Indiana air show.

The show was involved in a recent controversy when it was moved from a public beach on Lake Michigan to Fair Oaks Farms, a nearby attraction, so that admission to the show could be charged.

Nall is still scheduled to perform at the Milwaukee Air and Water Show, as well as at air shows in Cleveland and Winston-Salem North Carolina.

Nall is a Former US Marine Corps AV-8A/B pilot. He purchased the airplane in 2007, and according to his website, it is the only civilian-owned and flown Harrier.
