AAR Finished with Triumph Support Arm Acquisition

MRO Purveyor Expands the Brand With New Additions

AAR Corporation announced the finished acquisition of Triumph Group's Product Support Business.

The acquisition builds out AAR's capacity to provide maintenance, overhaul, and repair services with additional growth to its more specialized capabilities. Triumph's now former Product Support Services arm was sold to AAR last December, when it entered into sell the whole kit and kaboodle for $725 million in cash. That deal was financed with the proceeds from AAR’s previously announced $550 million note offering, with some extra borrowings done under its amended revolving credit facility.

“The completion of this acquisition scales AAR’s repair capabilities, expands our footprint in the APAC region, and enhances our ability to serve our global customers,” said John M. Holmes, AAR’s Chairman, President and CEO. “We’re excited to welcome more than 700 team members from the Product Support business who bring expertise in key areas to the AAR team.”

With the acquisition complete, AAR now sports a footprint that straddles more than 20 countries, offering a range of MRO, parts, engineering, and expeditionary support to government and civilian clientele.
