Brazilian ANAC Certifies Cessna SkyCourier Combi Kit

First South American Delivery Goes To Cleiton Táxi Aéreo

Textron Aviation announced that its Cessna SkyCourier Combi configuration kit received certification from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil, or ANAC, and the first South American delivery of the aircraft joined the fleet of charter operator Cleiton Táxi Aéreo (CTA).

The aircraft delivered to CTA was the passenger variant of the twin-engine, large utility turboprop equipped with conversion kits that enable the standard 19-passenger interior to be reconfigured to a 9-passenger plus cargo Combi, or to the full freighter configuration.

The aircraft is also equipped with the optional gravel kit, allowing it to land on unpaved runways and enabling it to access more remote areas.

Lannie O’Bannion, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Textron Aviation said, “The Cessna SkyCourier is an excellent aircraft to support regional missions and services across South America. We look forward to seeing the impact this versatile and hardworking turboprop will have on CTA’s operations.”

CTA was founded by Cleiton Sérgio de Sousa, and became a Textron customer with its purchase of a Cessna 210 Centurion in 1995 to initiate charter flights across the Amazon region. The company has since grown to include Cessna Caravan and Beech King Air aircraft, each carrying out a variety of charter and special missions in the region.

The SkyCourier has now been in flight since its first in 2020 and entered service in 2022, and has proven to be a valuable business tool for both passenger and cargo operations. Recent milestones include its first delivery in Canada and the first order from the Marshall Islands.
