Piper Reports Highest Delivery Count in Over 20 Years

Manufacturer’s New Flagship Aircraft Strengthens 2024 Growth

Piper Aircraft, one of the ‘big three’ general aviation plane makers, reported impressive company growth in 2024. It hit its highest delivery volume since 2001, with a total of 291 aircraft being distributed to customers.

The report demonstrates a 20 percent, or 46 aircraft, year-over-year increase from 2023. The manufacturer’s high point was in international deliveries, with 74 aircraft marking a 76% annual increase. Piper’s domestic deliveries grew by 7%, totaling 217 aircraft. This growth is tied to the launch of Piper’s new flagship airplane, the M700 Fury.

“Our continued growth, both domestically and internationally, is a testament to the strength of our product lineup and the trust our customers place in Piper,” expressed Piper President and CEO John Calcagno. “The increase in international deliveries highlights Piper’s expanding global footprint and the growing appeal of our aircraft worldwide."

The six-seat M700 Fury took the stage with US certification in March 2024. It is a single-engine, 700-horsepower beast powered by the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-52?. The aircraft boasts a top cruise speed of 300 knots, a typical useful load of 2,320 lbs, and a max range of more than 1,800 nm. It comes standard with Garmin’s G300 integrated flight deck featuring Autothrottle, Emergency Descent Mode, Electronic Stability Protection, SafeTaxi, and other safety-related tools. By the end of 2024, 46 M700s had been delivered to customers.

Though the M700 Fury was Piper’s headliner for 2024, the planemaker’s trainer aircraft were not far behind. The Pilot 100 and 100i are the latest additions to the trainer class, marketed as more budget-friendly options for flight schools. However, the Archer DX has been a consistent hit since its release in 2014. The DX is the diesel-powered variant of the popular Piper Archer TX, providing improved fuel efficiency and range capabilities.

“With the successful introduction of the M700 FURY and tremendous growth in Archer DX trainer sales, 2024 was a milestone year for our company, with the highest delivery count in well over two decades,” continued Calcagno.
