NASA Readies SpaceX Crew-10 Launch To ISS

Activities Before And During Launch On March 12 At Kennedy SC

NASA will be readying for the prelaunch and launch activities surrounding the upcoming SpaceX Crew-10 mission to the International Space Station.

The liftoff is targeted for Wednesday, March, at 7:48 pm EDT from Launch Complex 29A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and docking with the ISS is targeted for Thursday, March 13 at approximately 10 am.

The SpaceX Crew Dragon will carry four NASA astronauts: Anne McClain, commander, Nichole Ayers, pilot, and mission specialists Takuya Onishi of the JAXA, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov. They will be on the Station for a four-month science mission.

This is the 10th crew rotation mission and the 11th human spaceflight for NASA by SpaceX and Crew Dragon since 2020 under the agency’s Commercial Crew Program.

Highlights of the coverage include:

Friday March 7

  • 2 pm – Crew arrival at NASA Kennedy with the crew members
  • 5:30 pm – Mission overview teleconference at NASA Kennedy, with representatives from NASA, JAXA, SpaceX

Wednesday March 12

  • 3:45 pm – Launch coverage begins in NASA+
  • 7:48 pm – Launch
  • 9:30 pm – Postlaunch news conference with representatives from NASA, JAXA, and SpaceX

Thursday March 13

  • 8:15 am – Arrival at ISS coverage begins on NASA+
  • 10 am – Targeted docking to the forward-facing port of the Station’s Harmony module
  • 11:45 am – Hatch opening
  • 12:20 pm – Welcome ceremony
