ILFC, Air Caraïbes Reach Agreement To Lease Three A350-900 Aircraft

Deliveries Expected Between 2016 And 2018

International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) has reached an agreement with French Caribbean carrier Air Caraïbes Atlantique Airlines to lease three new Airbus A350XWB-900s. The aircraft have an anticipated delivery timeline between 2016 and 2018, and will be operated on the airline’s long-haul route network.

"ILFC is pleased to expand our business relationship with Air Caraïbes by introducing the A350XWB-900 aircraft to their fleet, and we look forward to supporting the airline’s continued efforts to add capacity on its long-range flight network,” said ILFC Chief Executive Officer Henri Courpron. “This transaction is yet another example of ILFC’s unique ability to provide our customers with comprehensive fleet solutions, which offer a combination of innovative lease programs customized to specific airline needs and the most modern aircraft available today.”

“I am proud to note all the hard work accomplished since our first flight ten years ago, then already with an aircraft leased from ILFC,” said Jean-Paul Dubreuil, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Air Caraibes. “We have succeeded in creating a new travel experience between France and the Caribbean by introducing new, latest technology aircraft, together with a strong sense of service. This strategic development approach is reflected again today through this new agreement which is the fruit of our long-term collaboration with ILFC.”

The A350XWB-900 aircraft are powered by two new generation Rolls Royce Trent XWB engines, and are designed to provide valuable flexibility and efficient performance for long-haul operations. ILFC currently has two A330 aircraft on lease with Air Caraïbes.
