Raytheon Aircraft Company Receives Highest Level of Recognition From FAA

During a recent visit to Raytheon Aircraft Company, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) presented their Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Phase V Diamond Award. The FAA's AMT awards program highlights the importance of aviation safety and education for professionals working within the industry, and specifically focuses on continued training. In order to qualify for the award, an aviation company must have at least 25 percent of their employees earn honors in the FAA's approved AMT program during a given calendar year.

Raytheon Aircraft Company far exceeded the minimum percentage, garnering 100 percent participation from its repair station employees, earning the company special recognition. This is the second special award achieved by the company in 2 years.

In addition to the organization's recognition, each of the 188 repair station employees received individual AMT awards based on the number of completed hours of FAA training. One hundred and four participants received the bronze award, 53 received the silver award, 10 received the gold award, 18 received the ruby award, and three employees received the diamond award. Raytheon Aircraft Company repair station employees amassed more than 4,000 hours of FAA approved training in 2004.

"Raytheon Aircraft Company is committed to safety and continued education for employees. This is just one of the many examples of our employees working together to achieve a common goal," said Mark Hokeness, Repair Station Accountable Manager.
