Alpha Star Aviation Makes the Move into King Air 360C

Air Ambulance Operator Adds Turboprop to All-Jet Fleet

Medical transport company Alpha Star Aviation inked a deal at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition for a brand new Beechcraft King Air 360C.

They opted for a King Air equipped with a full cargo door layout, giving more flexibility in loading to an already spacious and capable cabin layout. The choice to go for a twin turboprop is a novel one for Alpha, whose fleet currently consists of a pair of Hawker 900XPs. A recent purchase will eventually see the addition of a pair of Cessna Citation Latitudes, too.

Alpha Star Aviation is a big name in its home market, offering a range of aeronautical services in everything from flight operations, aircraft management, charters, technical support, maintenance, and medical transport. Its medical transport has seen worldwide missions as a critical care ferry, VIP courier, organ & body delivery, and even full medical escorts for those patients who require an on-hand specialist to see them from 'A' to 'B' in perfect safety.

Their selection, the King Air 360/ER, provides more performance than ever before, offering custom floorplans and powered patient loading for easy transport. Just like its predecessors, the King Air sports a solid combination of range (2,500+ nm), speed (245 kts), and takeoff performance (4,000+ ft). Beechcraft sells the plane with the idea that it provides classic twin-turboprop reliability and performance, particularly important aspects when plucking patients out of remote regions.
