Embraer Names John Slattery As New Commercial Aviation President And CEO

Promoted From Chief Commercial Officer Of Company's Business Unit

Embraer has named John Slattery as the President and CEO for its Commercial Aviation business unit, effective as of July 2016.

Since November 2012, Slattery has been the business unit's Chief Commercial Officer.

Slattery joined Embraer in March 2011 as Vice President of Customer Finance and Asset Management. Prior to joining Embraer, he spent 15 years in executive and leadership roles at various aircraft leasing business and financial institutions.

Since it was founded in 1969, Embraer has delivered more than 8,000 aircraft. About every 10 seconds an aircraft manufactured by Embraer takes off somewhere in the world, transporting over 145 million passengers a year.

Embraer is the leading manufacturer of commercial jets up to 130 seats. The company maintains industrial units, offices, service and parts distribution centers, among other activities, across the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe.
