CHC Continues 50 Years Of Service With Point Resources AS

Signs A Three-Year Contract Extension To Provide Offshore Transportation

CHC Group announced it has signed a three-year contract with Point Resources AS, providing aviation services to the company’s operated Balder, Ringhorne og Jotun fields in the Norwegian North Sea, 100nm offshore.

“We have partnered with Point Resources for more than 50 years, flying with them for the first time in 1966,” Mark Abbey, CHC Regional Director Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). “Such a long and valued partnership demonstrates the continued confidence in the service provided by our Norwegian team. As one of the leading helicopter service provider in Norway, this work allows us to continue to build on more than half a century of aviation experience supporting oil and gas customers on the Norwegian Continental Shelf as we continue to evolve our services and technology to best meet their needs.”

The contract will run until end of 2021. CHC will provide a dedicated sole use Sikorsky S-92 aircraft for this operation based at Sola, flying around ten flights per week.

“CHC has a proud history offering safe and reliable transportation to a variety of customers in EMEA,” said Karl Fessenden, President and CEO of CHC Helicopter. “We are eager to continue to add new chapters to our history in the region, as we have had seen success not only in the North Sea oil and gas space, but also providing search and rescue services and additional transport as far west as Ireland, as far South as Equatorial Guinea, and as far east as Kazakhstan.”
