AirShares Announces 'Cirrus-Squared' Program

Novel Program Provides Cirrus Owners Access To AirShares' SR22 Fleet

AirShares Elite, the world’s largest Cirrus fleet operator and the largest shared ownership program for light general aviation (GA) aircraft, told ANN Wednesday, January 23, it's launching the "Cirrus-Squared" program. With Cirrus-Squared, current Cirrus owners may purchase a 25-hour annual share in a Cirrus SR22 and gain access to AirShares' nationwide fleet of over 50 aircraft.

AirShares says the program also qualifies owners for AirShares Elite training program featuring an FAA-approved FITS training syllabus, IS-BAO based Safety Management System and dozens of mission-specific recurrent training modules.

To give an idea of the value of the program, AirShares gives an example: A Cirrus-Squared customer can travel via commercial carrier to South Florida, pick up an AirShares fleet SR22 aircraft and spend a week island hopping in the Bahamas thus avoiding a long cross-country flight on either side of the vacation.

Obviously, Cirrus-Squared can give Cirrus owners a great deal of flexibility when traveling around the country for business or leisure. Plus, the company says it can make an aircraft available when a Cirrus-Squared customer's personal plane is down for maintenance, upgrades or annual inspection.

"We know from experience that Cirrus pilots really put their aircraft to work for business and personal flying," said Brad Rosse, regional director for AirShares Elite. "We also know that pilots like the option of having access to aircraft when they’re away from home, and that some downtime is inevitable. That’s where the Cirrus-Squared program can really save the day for current Cirrus owners. Instead of causing a pilot to put off flying, the program can put a completely familiar, professionally managed aircraft at their disposal. And they can take advantage of our unparalleled training resources to enhance their flying experience."

AirShares bills itself as general aviation’s premier fractional ownership company  and claims aircraft based near Atlanta, Birmingham, Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Ft Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Miami, Naples, New York, Philadelphia, Providence, Raleigh-Durham, Tampa, and Washington, DC.

AirShares says it's helping revolutionize the personal and business aircraft ownership experience by making the dream of owning today’s most advanced aircraft more attainable and affordable without the hassles of sole ownership.  It says it features the most advanced, safest and trend-setting aircraft available in general aviation today including the Cirrus SR22.
